We are Herb and Wanda Taylor, serving in Hispanic Ministries with Baptist Church Planters. Herb is the Coordinator of Hispanic Ministries with BCP. In this ministry we are seeking to REACH HISPANICS: OUR NEIGHBORS.
OUR THREE-FOLD PURPOSE:
PLANTING . . . Hispanic Baptist (bilingual) churches
PARTNERING . . . with established churches to reach Hispanics in their own area.
PREPARING . . . Hispanic church leaders to further reach other Hispanics here in our country.
HISPANIC FAST FACTS:
1) There are 50.5 million Hispanics in the United States today (that’s more than the total population of Canada).
2) There are more people in the U.S. that speak Spanish than in all of Central America.
3) There are more Hispanics in Los Angeles County alone than in the country of Costa Rica.
4) The United States is the second largest Spanish-speaking country in the world.
5) Spanish is one of the five most used languages in the world. The other four are English, Russian, French and Chinese.
6) In terms of number of people that speak the language, Spanish is in second place in the world, after Chinese.
