On Sunday, October 21 we were able to hear “The Master’s Men”, an evangelistic team led by our son, Benjamin Taylor (he’s the one in the center). This group organized in 2009 desires to minister through the preaching of God’s Word and Godly music. This fall they are traveling on the weekends to churches from Virginia to Florida to Alabama. What a joy it was to hear the guys sing to the Lord! More information can be found on their website at http://mastersmenonline.org/.
In English and Spanish
Our son, Benjamin, ministered in music at the Hispanic Retreat at the IRBC Camp in Clear Lake, Iowa on August 17-18, 2012. He shared a song entitled, “Heaven, Can You Imagine?” in English and Spanish.
Glad to be Together!
On Saturday, May 19 we were able to attend a wedding in Cleveland, OH of one of Ben’s college friends. This was only 3 weeks after Benjamin’s serious car accident on April 26 . . . so we were “extra” grateful to be together!
A Miracle
On Thursday, April 26, our son, Benjamin had a serious car accident. The car hydroplaned, severed a telephone pole, hit a tree and landed in a field with electrical wires sparking overhead. It is a miracle that he survived. We believe that God obviously has a plan for his life . . . otherwise, he wouldn’t still be here.
Christmas 2011
Here is our family, complete with our 23 year old son, Benjamin and our dog, Kip! We are grateful for God’s goodness to all of us. We are so undeserving!
Getting Together
Our son, Benjamin, a graduate of Bob Jones University, presently lives in Easley, SC and is working to pay off a small amount of college debt. He is involved in ministry at Palmetto Baptist Church in Powdersville, SC and leads a men’s evangelistic team called The Master’s Men. Our opportunities to get together are sometimes rare – we treasure them whenever we can coordinate our schedules to visit.
College Graduation!
On Saturday, May 7 our son, Benjamin graduated from Bob Jones University. We are so grateful for the Lord’s provision to make this accomplishment possible. Over the past four years, Benjamin was busy with classes, working for Campus Security, participating in his local church and leading two ministry teams, The Master’s Men (a men’s quartet that spends many weekends preaching and singing) and Team IMPACT (a karate ministry team). On Friday, May 6, at the Awards Program, Benjamin received the “Evangelism Award” – given to the young man who exemplifies a heart for evangelism. The award came with a gift of $2,500 and a lifetime membership to the BJU Alumni Association. We wiped away a few tears of gratefulness to the Lord!
A Special Visit
Through God’s special provision, our son, Benjamin was able to visit us for a week in March while we were in language school in Costa Rica. Ben graduates from Bob Jones University on May 7, 2011.
