A great way to reach Hispanics is through the means of ESL (English as a Second Language.) Beacon Baptist Church in Alamance, NC is doing just that. They are beginning to see the fruits of their labors and are praying that the Hispanics will truly feel that Beacon is their ministry home too.
BCP Church Planters in Florida
In January we visited our BCP church planters, Miguel and Ana Quintana in Seminole, FL. Joining us was Steve Little (president of Baptist Church Planters) and his wife. Becky. We rejoice in how the Lord is leading in the Spanish ministry there in Seminole, FL which presently meets at Starkey Road Baptist Church.
ESL Reaches People
In November we reported to one of our supporting churches, Beacon Baptist Church in Burlington, NC. We rejoice that several years they began an ESL ministry to seek to reach those in their community. Though the progress has been gradual, we rejoice that the Lord is using this outreach to build relationships and Lord willing, bring some to Christ.
God’s Provision
We praise the Lord for those who graciously donated toward our “Car Project Fund”. On October 29, 2015 we were able to purchase a 2013 Nissan Altima 2.5SV with less than 20,000 miles on it. We pray that the Lord will use this vehicle for his service in our ministry.
Challenging College Students for Ministry
One of our favorite things to do is to spend time with college students, seeking to encourage and challenge them for ministry, especially Hispanic ministries here in the states. We need more laborers! Here we are speaking with students at Appalachian Bible College in Beckley, WV in the fall of 2015.
