On the Road Again

On the Road Again

In the fall of 2020 we amazingly were able to travel each month to participate in several missions conferences and report to many of our supporting churches. After being home since the middle of March, it was good to travel and make in-person ministry connections.

Connections

We regularly have college students in our home as we want to encourage them to consider serving the Lord in whatever way God can use them – even perhaps in Hispanic ministries.

From the Dining Room

From the Dining Room

This was a normal scene in 2020 as we often spoke to church families, led Bible studies and prayer times and even led a marriage seminar all around the country but from our dining room here in Greenville, SC.

We unofficially “adopted” a college student, Hannah, during her college years. She called us her “South Carolina” parents as it helped having an extra set of parents on the east coast since she was originally from California. Here her family was visiting as just days before her wedding here in Greenville, SC.

Our Summer Sons and Wives

Our Summer Sons and Wives

These two young men lived with us for several summers during their college years so we refer to them as our “summer sons”. We originally met at our local Spanish church years ago and it’s been exciting to see God lead and provide for them along the way over the years. We rejoiced to have them visit with us in our home!

OUR LAST TIME

OUR LAST TIME

Little did we know that this would be our last time to actually sit down at a Panera Bread. This photo was taken to show one of our “offices away from home” as we ministered in Ohio in March. We flew to OH on March 12, 2020 to participate in our Baptist Church Planters Council meetings but then the effects of the coronavirus hit and everything changed.

SO MANY NEEDS

SO MANY NEEDS

Our hearts are truly burdened for church planters who face so many different struggles in their lives and ministries. We seek to listen, encourage, pray and help whenever we can but often wish we could do more.

ALWAYS BE READY

ALWAYS BE READY

Herb has always tried to be ready to “preach, pray or die”! Several times when we have walked into a Hispanic ministry he is asked to preach just moments before a service. And he’s ready to do so!
