Here Herb is studying Spanish sitting on the front porch of our temporary home in Costa Rica. Everything is behind bars here. We are staying in the home of Jose and Maria Sandi.

We were thankful for these men who joined us for our Commissioning Service on Sunday, January 3. Our Commissioning Service on January 3, 2010

On Sunday, January 3, 2010 our church, Skyline Baptist Church in Front Royal, VA commissioned us to serve with Baptist Church Planters in Hispanic Ministries. It was a very special day filled with memories, testimonies, tears, spiritual challenges and encouragement. We have had a relationship with our church for about 16 years – they supported us as missionaries for about 7 1/2 years before we came to permanently minister the past 8 1/2 years.We dearly love our church family at SBC and look forward to continuing our ministry relationship with them in the years to come.

We were blessed to be able to spend time together with our 21 year old son, Benjamin. It was a busy time though as we were packing up our home of 8 1/2 years. We couldn’t have done it without Ben’s help. We do not recommend moving at Christmas time!

Gustavo and Carina Sosa (from our home church, Skyline Baptist Church) traveled with us to a deputation meeting at Faith Baptist Church in Toms River, NJ on November 14-15. They were saved in August of 2008 through our ministry at Skyline. This was their first time to meet another church family and to give their testimonies publicly. It was great to have them with us!

The Sosa family (from our home church, Skyline Baptist Church) spent November 14-15 with us at a deputation meeting at Faith Baptist Church in Toms River, New Jersey. Gustavo, Carina and Emanuel Sosa were saved in August of 2008. During this weekend they sang with us in the morning service and gave their testimonies in the evening service.
